My reasoning behind this project: What we do to Mother Earth and how we deal with.
After the photos there is more explanation about my way of thinking.
Er is een 'Mother Earth' gedeelte, met de Aarde op zijn kop. En met plastiek, vanuit deze Aarde gaan plastiekstromen, naar beneden, naar de biddende handen voor een nieuwe betere wereld.
There is a 'Mother Earth' section, with the Earth upside down. And with plastic, plastic flows from this Earth go down to the praying hands for a new better world.

6 Rechterhanden die symbolisch staan voor de Titaniden (voorlopers van de Griekse godinnen). De Rechterhand staat symbolisch voor het
geven.

5 Linkerhanden die symbolisch staan voor ons, mensheid. De linkerhand staat symbolisch voor het ontvangen.

- 6 Right hands symbolic of the Titanids (precursors of the Greek goddesses). The Right Hand is symbolic of giving.
- 5 Left hands that are symbolic of us, humanity. The left hand is symbolic of receiving.

De handen en aardbol van Moeder Aarde zijn van massief papier-maché en papierpulp, de nieuwe Aarde is niet geheel
massief.
The hands and globe of Mother Earth are made of solid papier-mâché and paper pulp, the new Earth is not entirely massive.

Tijdens het werken aan dit project ben ik me nog bewuster geworden van de voetstappen die ik achter laat op deze Aarde. En welke sporen wil ik achterlaten? Niet alleen in een materieel opzicht. Wat heb ik tot nu toe gedaan? Hier kom ik misschien later op terug. Dit project heeft veel bij mijn teweeggebracht. En nog steeds.
The hands of Mother Earth.
While working on this project I have become even more aware of the footsteps I leave behind on this Earth. And what traces do I want to leave? Not just in a material sense. What have I done so far? I may return to this
later. This project has brought a lot to me. And still.
Waarom rust de Aarde niet geheel in de handen? Waarom is de Aarde op z'n kop?
Waarop ik een tegenvraag plaats; Wat moet ze vasthouden? Of nog aan vasthouden?
De Aarde die wij (de mensheid, ook ik) bijna hebben leeg getrokken?
Ze heeft ons verrijkt, maar de mensheid laat veel schade achter ( de ene heeft het rijkdom en de andere bittere armoede gebracht).
Met rijkdom en armoede doel ik niet alleen op materiële gebied, maar ook de emotionele en psychische gebieden.
Niet voor allen, maar weet dat karakter ook een rijkdom is en dát kan men niet kopen!!!
Moeder Aarde weet niet meer of het vasthouden en het hoeden van de Aarde nog de moeite waard is.
Vindt de mensheid het nog echt de moeite waard?
Waar is de instelling: Behandel een ander zoals jij zelf ook behandelt wil worden?
We doen het met Moeder Aarde niet, wat geven wij haar, ja onze producten die vanuit haar vrucht (o.a.olie) worden gemaakt => plastiek.
Moeder Aarde waarschuwt ons, laten we er dan ook iets constructiefs mee doen en ervan maken.
De aardbol staat op z'n kop, het klimaat veranderd daarom heb ik de klimroos niet geheel zwart gemaakt (een soort weerspiegeling van Moeder Aarde der gevoel).
Why doesn't the Earth rest entirely in the hands? Why is the Earth upside
down?
On which I place a counter question; What should she hold? Or stick to it?
The Earth that we (humanity, including me) have nearly emptied?
It has enriched us, but humanity is leaving behind a lot of damage (one has brought wealth and the other bitter poverty).
With wealth and poverty I do not only mean material, but also emotional and psychological.
Not for all, but know that character is also a wealth and you can't buy that !!!
Mother Earth no longer knows
whether holding and guarding the Earth, is it still worth it. Does humanity still find it worthwhile?
Where is the institution: Treat someone the same as you would like to be treated yourself?
We are not doing it with Mother Earth, what do we give her, yes our products made from her fruit (including oil) => plastic.
Mother Earth warns us, so let's do something constructive with it and turn it into something good.
The globe is upside down, the climate has changed so I have not completely blackened the climbing rose (a kind of reflection of Mother Earth of feeling).
Een cirkel van 6 rechterhanden?
Deze rechterhanden staan symbool voor de Titaniden.
De zes Titaniden waren de vrouwelijke tegenhangers van de Titanen. Zij zijn eveneens kinderen van Uranus en Gaia. Tethys, Rhea,Themis, Mnemosyne, Phoebe en Theia.
De rechterhand is de gevende hand en de Titaniden hebben ons allerlei gaven gebracht/gegeven.
A circle of 6 right hands?
These right hands symbolize the Titanids.
The six Titanids were the female counterparts of the Titans. They are also children of Uranus and Gaia. Tethys, Rhea, Themis, Mnemosyne, Phoebe and Theia.
The right hand is the giving hand and the Titanids have given us all kinds of gifts.
Dan de losse zwartgrijze linkerhanden in allerlei standen?
Dezen staan symbolisch voor de handen van de mensheid. De linkerhand is de ontvangende hand.
Ik heb voor 5 hand geste gekozen: de grijpgrage hand (de hebber), dan de ontvangende hand
(geef me meer), de middelvinger (nou ja, we weten waar deze voor staat), de draai-hand in Zuid-Europa wordt deze geste
gebruikt voor "Wat bedoel je"of "Wat is er aan de hand"of "Is er wat?" en de hand met de geste "Alles goed" maar deze geste betekent ook Zero, iemand of iets
is niet goed.
Then the loose black gray left hands in all kinds of
positions?
These are symbolic of the hands of humanity. The left hand is the receiving hand.
I chose five hand gesture: the grasping hand (the greedy), the receiving hand (give me more), the middle (well, we know what it
stands for), the rotary hand in southern Europe this gesture used for "What do you mean" or "What's wrong" or "Is there something wrong?" and the hand with the gesture "Everything is good" but this gesture also means Zero, someone or something is not good.
De biddende zwarte handen met de tranen?
Deze staan symbolisch voor het bidden en hopen. Daar is niets mis mee, maar er moet ook daadkracht worden gebruikt.
The praying black hands with the tears?
These are symbolic of praying and hoping. There is nothing wrong with that, but decisiveness must also be
used.
De witte aardbol met bladgoud?
Staat symbolisch voor de nieuwe aarde.
The white globe with gold leaf?
Symbolic of the new earth.
